The deadline to file your nomination papers for the upcoming municipal elections is coming up fast.
Anyone wanting to run for a seat on city council or one of the trustee positions with either the Catholic or public school board has just one more week to sign up.
In the Town of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, there will be a new mayor.
Norbert Dufresne is the only person who has filed his nomination papers for the job.
Dufresne is a current town councillor.
Mayor Jerry O’Leary has indicated that he does not plan to seek re-election.
