A staple of the Bombers offence is staying in Winnipeg.
The Blue Bombers tell us that they’ve signed running back Andrew Harris to a one-year contract extension.
The 33-year-old has played four seasons in Winnipeg so far and logged 4,752 yards on the ground with 22 touchdowns.
In the air, the Winnipeg product has 1,951 yards while in blue and gold with nine touchdowns.
Overall, Harris has enjoyed a ten-year Canadian Football League career split between the Bombers and the B.C. Lions.
In his 169 regular-season games played, the former Vancouver Island Raider has 9,038 rushing yards, 5,107 receiving yards and a total of 79 touchdowns.
Harris is the CFL’s all-time leader for yards from scrimmage by a Canadian (14,145 yards) as well as the all-time leader for rushing yards by a Canadian.
The five-time CFL all-star was named as the MVP and Most Valuable Canadian in 2019 when the Bombers won the Grey Cup.
