One person is dead following a crash on the TransCanada highway east of Marathon.
Provincial police say it was just after 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon when they were called to the scene, about 60kms east of the town. Investigation found a westbound pickup truck collided with an eastbound transport truck, with police finding the lone occupant of the pickup dead at the scene.
The cause is still under investigation and that is all the detail provided by police.
Police add the highway was closed for about nine hours.
