Environment Canada has upgraded special weather statements around the region.
Thunder Bay is now under a Winter Storm Warning with 20 to 30 centimetres of snow expected.
Snowfall warnings have also been issued for both Fort Frances and Dryden, with 15 to 20 centimetres of snow forcasted.
The storm is expected to move in on Wednesday morning, lasting through Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, Kenora is under a weather advisory, with 10 to 15 centimeters of snow expected.
