Sean Smith scored the lone goal for the Ice Dogs.

In Thunder Bay, Tyler Jordan notched a hat trick that included the game-winner as the North Stars defeated the Fort Frances Lakers 5-2.
It is the Stars’ fourth straight win.
Connor O’Brien and Cohen Tangedal added the other Stars’ goals.
Clark Scaddan and Tyler Jordan replied for the Lakers, who are still looking for their first win of the season.

Nolan Fowler’s power play goal one minute into the third period stood as the game-winner.
