A former U-18 ‘AAA’ Kenora Thistle standout has been named to one of the three MJHL all-star teams for the 2019/2020 season.
Winnipeg Blues netminder Cooper Hatfield, who earlier this week was announced as a finalist for the league’s goalie of the year award, was named to the MJHL All-Rookie team.
Hatfield is nearing the end of his first season with the Blues, and currently sits fourth in the league for save percentage (0.911) seventh in wins (16), and ninth in goals against average (3.37).
When it comes to rookie goalies, the Kenora native is first in wins and save percentage while he sits third in save percentage.
Hatfield’s Blues are currently in a battle for the final MJHL playoff spot with the Selkirk Steelers, who they host Friday night at the RINK Training Centre.
