A Kenora physician has been given a new job at the top of the ladder.
Dr. Lisa Habermehl has been appointed to the Premier’s Council on Improving Health Care and Ending Hallway Medicine.
Dr. Habermehl has nearly two decades of experience and will work alongside Dr. Rueben Devlin to advise on important health care decisions.
Dr. Habermehl says she’s grateful for the opportunity and is looking forward to improving the health care system with her experience as a rural front-line physician.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford says Dr. Habermehl brings a vital northern perspective to the table adding more representation from our area is a step in the right direction.
She is set to serve a three-year term spilitting her time advising the Premier’s Council and continuing her clinical practice in Red Lake.
