More reaction is pouring in after the Ford government’s education overhaul announcement.
While some institutions are seeing the positives, the Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario is not happy.
Chairperson Nour Alideeb says any benefits students might experience from a tuition decrease will be offset by other reckless proposed changes.
Alideeb says, negative proposals include international students not qualifying for the ten per cent tuition reduction and any student loan would be charged interest immediately upon graduation.
National Executive Representative of the CFSO, Sami Pritchard says students’ unions have long fought for government action on accessible and affordable high quality education, so it’s no surprise they are a target of the current government.
